What DO I Wear?!?! Lululemon Chic

“Yoga is a way to freedom. By its constant practice, we can free ourselves from fear, anguish and loneliness.” ~ Indra Devi

Yoga Basic

Sometimes I got to go yoga basic. With the weather being all over the place, I admit it is easier wearing yoga or workout wear then it is trying to find clothes that fit in with Mother Nature’s mood. With an active schedule and jobs that teach yoga or babysit children, being fashionably chic isn’t always worth it.

Yes, guys just because I live in one of the most fashionable cities in the world, does not mean I always LOOK fashionable.

Lululemon

Thank you Fashion Gods for Lululemon. I have written before about how obsessed I am with their leggings, (After all, they had me at see through) but I am just obsessed with their sweatshirts and jackets.

In fact it was their Scuba Hoodies that first alerted me to the yoga fashion giant. The staple thumbholes in all their sweatshirts, had me swooning. There is something utterly cozy about thumbholes! The rest is honestly history as my obsession grew from there.

The Define Jacket

I admit to being a jacket aficionado. I own WAY to many jackets. It might be a slight problem and my closet definitely grunts with the burden every time I buy another jacket without getting rid of the old. (I have no apologies, sorry not sorry New York City Closet.) From my sweatshirt collection of all the beach towns I have been too, (it is my one tourist moment peeps!) to owning quite a few jackets from Lululemon, I know I will be toasty cozy in the cold months ahead.

While I might be toasty and cozy, it doesn’t mean I will look like a New York City rodent. Lululemon jackets are fitted so there is none of that bulk that typically comes when wearing a sweatshirt. The Define Jacket, especially, has a sleek look, that makes it easy to throw on with jeans as it does with a pair of leggings.

It has zipped pockets, so you can slip in keys and cards without fear of losing them. Aside from the staple thumbholes that Lululemon is known for, it also has a hair elastic attached to the zipper, which lets face it, is more for fashion purposes then actual use. I mean has ANYONE ever used it? Inquiring minds want to know!

The Look

It is incredibly easy when wearing workout clothes, to go from yoga chic to the work-out version of Bellatrix Lestrange. (if she worked out) Although in all honesty can you really look frumpy when you are rocking Lululemon? hmmm.

I know at this point I sound like a broken record. In fact you could all take a bet and would probably win on my next words.(so lets not!) It only seemed right that I bought the Define jacket in my favorite color of Olive Green.

// Leggings, Jacket, headband: Lululemon // Flip-flops: Reef // Halter-top: Tanya-B // Tote Bag: Etsy // Sunglasses: Tory Burch // Hoops: Nordstrom Rack // Coffee and Pastry: Bouchon Bakery //

It practically begged me to own it when I went to the store, and how could I resist? the rest of my army green wardrobe would have been so sad without it.

With the jacket the focal piece, I slid on black leggings, sneaks though with the weather being so warm I have been milking my flip-flops for as long as I can. Underneath I usually add a Tanya-B halter top, or light tank. Sometimes I will add a scarf and usually I have a headband to hold my fly-away bangs (which are finally growing out!) in place.

All in all it is a pretty easy and casual look, that I can rock to an actual yoga studio, wear shopping or running errands in Midtown.
